Nelson Seltzer

Peacefully, in his ninety third year, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Beloved husband of Carol Stein for almost seventy-two years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jo-Ann and Stan Gomberg, Harold and Sandra Seltzer. Cherished “Papa Nel” of Max and Larrel, Isaiah, and Matthew. Proud great-grandfather of Trey, Abigail, and Kennedy Grace. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Phyllis and the late Norman Seltzer, the late Joyce and the late Sonny Breger, the late Harriet Seltzer and brother-in-law of Shirley and the late Herby Croll. Nelson will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family, many life-long friends and by his special cousin Jerry Millman. Special thanks to his caregiver Aisha Mohammed for her devoted and loving care, and to the wonderful staff at Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Stephen Yang, Dr. Eve Belzile-Dugas and the nursing and other staff of the Emergency Department and ICU at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 30 at 1:00 p.m.  Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane.  Shiva at Maimonides through Tuesday evening.
