Joy Pellatt (Née Jakin)

Surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, two weeks after her eighty-first birthday. Beloved wife of Fred for fifty-nine years. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Cindy Pellatt and Marty Dorfman, and Elissa and David (Doodie) Miller. Proud Bubbie of Zak, Jami; Yael, Josh and Yael, and Jonah. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Karol and Sam Epstein, Debra and Steven Berkofsky. Much loved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Joy will be missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Special thanks to her caregivers, Debra, Zennie, and Addie, for their care and compassion. 

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, January 9 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Congregation Shaare Zion Beth-El Cemetery section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at her home (6500 ch. Mackle #408, Côte Saint-Luc) Thursday following burial until 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday through Tuesday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. daily.
