Dr. Marvin Orleans

After a courageous battle on Friday, April 18, 2025. Totally devoted husband of Adele (Née Chafetz) for fifty-one years. Cherished and adored father and father-in-law of Dana and Rob Melnik, Stephanie and Justin Linden. Proud Zaidie of Max, Jayme, Hayley; and Oliver. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Lily and the late Joe Abramson, the late Hy and the late Edie Orleans; and loving brother-in-law of Connie and John Wiseman, Anita and Israel Chafetz. Adored son of the late Ralph and the late Dora Orleans. Lifelong friend of ‘The Boys’. Admired and trusted dentist by his colleagues and patients. Marvin will be missed by his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, by his family, friends, and all those who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Sharyn Mannix and the Respirology doctors, nurses, and Staff at the Glenn Hospital for their dedication and persistence.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 1 Wood, Westmount, Monday following burial until 4:00 p.m., and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services at 7:00 p.m. daily.
