PETEL, Shaul Raphael, M.B.
Peacefully, on Monday, September 2, 2024, after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer, with his family by his side. Devoted husband of Ruth Sherman for forty-nine years. Dedicated father and father-in-law of Yonatan and Caroline (Dayan), Oren and Marina (Milyavskaya), Yaacov and Leah (Dobrinski), Dara and Joel (Arshoff). Loving Sabba of Akiva, Zahava, Ezra, Tzofia and Ovadia; Noa and Galit; Eliyahu, Devorah and Tzipora; Orli and Meira. Devoted son of Aharon and the late Shulamit Petel z”l, and son-in-law of the late Sorrel z”l and the late Saul Sherman z”l. Brother and brother-in-law of Herzel and Shirley Petel, Rose and Bill Feldstein, Avi Petel, Elana and John Rogers, Iris and Alan Ley, Igal and Sandra Petel. He will be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Avi Rabinovitch, Marla and David Bart, Mark and Shelley Sherman, as well as by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends, whom he cherished and who cherished him. Special thanks to Dr. Kim Ma and the Oncology Team at the Jewish General Hospital, the staff of CLSC Pierrefonds and NOVA for their help and support. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Tikvah Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his home.
