Elayne Gold (Née Maron)

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in her ninety-second year. Devoted wife of the late Manuel Theodore (Teddy) Gold. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Nancy Gold, Joanne Gold Cummings and Richard Cummings, Lynda Gold and Mark Lazarus, and Norman Gold. Adored grandmother of Gabriel Simms and Amanda Simms, Jordan Cummings, Daniel Cummings and Tova Rose, Ariel Simms and Lindsay Springer, Angela Cummings Shiffman and Adam Shiffman, Ashley Gold, and Lucas Gold. Great-grandmother of Tyler and Evan Cummings, Zale, Mazie, and Izaiah Springer-Simms, Avery Simms, and Izzy and Jared Shiffman. Dear sister of Stephen Maron, the late Harvey Maron, the late Beverly Maron; and sister-in-law of Cookie Maron, the late Eileen and the late Dr. Michael Gold. Loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Harriet Gold, Neil Gold, Cathy Maron, Marlene Maron, Mark Maron, Michelle Maron, Martin Tratt, Jonathan Tratt. Elayne will be deeply missed by Joel Simms, Allison Lightstone, and by her family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 chemin de la Forêt. Shiva at her home (3033 Sherbrooke W. #407) Thursday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services at 7:15 p.m. daily.
