FITLEBERG, Samuel, on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 in Toronto, at the age of eighty eight. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Silka Fitleberg, Loving father and father-in-law of Mandi and Ron, Frank and Marilyn. Devoted grandfather of Lexie, Matty, Gilly and Maddy, Danielle. Adored “Zaidy Al” to Hayden and Celeste, Sierra. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hershey and Libby, Marcia and Jack. Special companion of Flo Convery. Son of the late Mike and Simi Fitleberg. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Humber Meadows long term care facility for their exceptional care and compassion.
Samuel, affectionately known as Al, often described his life as charmed—and it truly was. His greatest passion was music, and whether he was playing the saxophone, singing, or simply sharing his love for a good tune, he brought joy to everyone around him. His music was the soundtrack of his life, filling rooms with warmth, energy, and happiness up until his very last days.
But beyond the music, it was his kindness, humor, and generous spirit that made him so dearly loved by all who met him. To know Al was to adore him, and his presence will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
