Sami Peretz

It is with great sadness that the family of Sami Peretz announces his passing on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Most beloved husband of the late Miriam for sixty-years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Iris and John, David and Lindsay, and Daniel. Cherished Saba of Kathleen, Jessica, Shoshana, Mimi, and Aryeh. Dear brother of Levana and the late Leon Albow, Hanna and the late Meir Peretz. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses Yakov and Violetta Peretz, Moshe and Rosy Peretz, Shabetai and Susan Peretz, Reina and Vitali Ganon, Rachel and Itzahk Nahum. Son of the late David and the late Rosa Peretz. Born in Turkey, raised in Israel, Sami settled in Montreal with his wife in 1975, quickly becoming cherished in his community for his sense of humour, levity, and willingness to lend a hand. Sami loved Miriam, his family, the flea market, Tim Hortons, and a good deal. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
