Paul Auerbach

Suddenly on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Beloved son of David Auerbach and the late Rena Gold Cuttler. Cherished stepson of Gail Auerbach, and Murray Cuttler. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Cathy and Anthony Meles, Michelle and Robert Cheszes, and Matthew and Samantha Auerbach. Dear stepbrother of Sean Spector (Tamara), Davey Cuttler (Rori), Lee Cutler and their families. Adored uncle of Alexa and Haley Meles; Emily and Ben Cheszes; Lyon and Mia Auerbach. Loving grandson of the late Esther and the late Mickey Gold, the late Sadie and the late Abe Auerbach. Special loving nephew of Noreen and Herb Abrams, Karen Gold, Michael and Beverly Auerbach. He will be sadly missed by his cousins Jeremy and Gail Abrams, Jodie Abrams; Daniel Gold Bersani; Casey and Kevin Auerbach and by his many friends. 

As a geologist, rock climber and professor, Paul had an incredible understanding of the world and as a human and yogi, he saw deeper meaning in everything. He was brilliant with a level of gentle kindness and human connection that everyone who knew him was blessed to experience. He had so much to share and teach the world and his nieces and nephews. He will be painfully missed but he can finally find all he needs for eternity now that he is reunited with his mom. 

Graveside service on Sunday, September 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. The family requests the funeral be restricted to Paul’s family, friends and to those whose lives he touched. Shiva Monday only at 4986 Roslyn Ave, Montreal.
