Peacefully, on Tuesday August 20, 2024. Beloved husband of Laura Berman for seventy years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Stephen Schertzer and Ruth Wingerin, Robert Schertzer and Laura Rosenthal. Cherished Zaida of Julia Schertzer and fiancé Skyler Olson, Adam, and Leora Schertzer; Dena, and Daniel Schertzer. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joei Carlton and the late Paul Hossack, Mona and the late Marv Mesirow, the late Harry and the late Sandra Albert; and brother-in-law of Martin and Pearl Berman, Doris and the late Danny Fink. Nathan will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to Bibi Rafina Ali for her care and compassion. Special thanks to the staff of the Institut universitaire gériatrique de Montréal and the staff of C4 at the Jewish General Hospital.
