Matt Chaimberg

It is with the most profound sadness that the devastated family of Matt Elijah Chaimberg announces his untimely passing on Rosh Hashanah, October 3, 2024 - too young, too soon, too beautiful. Matt leaves behind his adoring mother, Bev, who treasures and loves him so unconditionally, their love for each other was mutual. Beloved son of the late Michael Chaimberg. He also leaves behind Bev’s loving partner, Howard Dermer. Matt will be forever loved and deeply missed by his siblings, Jordyn and Ryan Warner, Lauren and Brian Kujavsky, Noah and Allison, Adam and Nadine, and all of Howard’s children, with whom Matt shared a special relationship. Loving grandson of the late Gertie and the late Harry Chaimberg, and his late nanny Florence and late papa Raymond Miller who he had an extraordinary relationship with. Forever cherished nephew of Barbara Perzow, Sharon and Billy Miller, Barbra and Duvi Shriar, and Jerry Chaimberg. He will be lovingly remembered by his precious nieces Misha, Bea, and Goldie, Hannah and Liv. Matt also had a special bond with his cousins - Adam, Josh and Chelsea, Jenny, Alissa and JJ, Zack and Steph, Mel and Max, Kevin and Jaye, Emma and Jake, Jon and Maddy, Sofia, Ethan Luca and Shia - it didn’t matter what they did, they all just loved being in the same room together. Matt leaves behind many lifelong friends - who he loved, and felt so loved by - always. Special thanks to Ric for all the support-much love.

The pain of losing you is immeasurable for all of us. You will always be our treasure, and we shall cherish every single moment we had together. We will carry you in our hearts - forever.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, October 7 at 2:15 p.m. Burial at Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva to be announced.
