Peacefully, in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 78.  Marvin battled his illness bravely, with resilience, strength and grace.  He can now finally rest in peace.

Son of the late Fay and Morris Werbitt.  Loving brother of Rona Skolar and Donald Werbitt.

Marvin was a devoted husband to Mandy, whose profound love and dedication never wavered.  Through 46 years of marriage up until the very end, her steadfast care allowed him to continue in comfort and with dignity.  He was the proud and caring father and father-in-law to Jeremy and Gen, Jonathan and Patty, to whom his guiding light will never fade.  His legacy will continue on in his grandchildren, Jaclyn, Nathaniel, Audrey, Mackenzie, Noah, and the late Bradley.  They brought a smile to his face and made his eyes light up every time he saw them.

Marvin was a gifted periodontist, internationally known and respected.  He was a true pioneer in the dental field, especially implantology.  Through his work, he left a mark on so many people, from patients and colleagues to students and staff.  He was a pillar of the community, serving as President of ORT and the Alpha-Omega dental fraternity.

While his professional accomplishments were gratifying for him, his life outside the office was even more fulfilling.  Weekends at the country home in St. Lazare, riding horses, playing with his dogs, and working in his garage was where he went to unwind.  His greatest joy and point of pride, however, was his family, and spending time together with them.  These were truly his happiest moments.

His generous spirit and kind heart will live on in all of us who knew and loved him.

Special thank you to Mohammed Hussein for his kindness and dedication, helping to care for Marvin over the past 7 years.  Also, many thanks to the staff at Chateau Westmount and the ICU team at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care.
