Howard Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Smith, after a courageous battle, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in his sixty-eighth year. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife and soulmate Bella Baum.  Howard was a loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Brandon Smith and Vanessa Azoulay, Jennifer Smith and Corey Krakower. He was an adoring Zaidy to his three precious “Boubas”, Liv and Layla Krakower and Emma Smith. Son of Isabel and the late Sydney Smith; and son-in-law of the late Jidel and the late Esther Baum; brother and brother-in-law of Sandy and Danny Rossner, Perry and Linda Smith, and the late Marvin Smith; and brother-in-law of David Baum and Andrea Davis, and the late Harry Baum. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, friends and by all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the I.C.U. and K7 staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Andrew Hirsch and Dr. Stephen Yang.
