Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 31 at the age of 103. Loving husband of the late Rhoda Kanofsky for sixty-one years. Beloved father of Sheila (Marvin Braude), Eileen (Julian Lewin) and Bonnie (Don Chazan). Proud Zaida of Jeremy Penn, Hayley Chazan Clark (Richard) and Devon Chazan.  Loving partner of Adeline Slapcoff for the last 14 years. Treasured brother and brother-in-law of the late Joseph and the late Vera, the late Sam and the late Esther, the late Lou and the late Sybil, and the late Hymie. Special brother-in-law of Recia and Howard Bell, Florence Kanofsky and the late Sam Kanofsky. Son of the late Benjamin and the late Rachel Ornstein, and son-in-law of the late Israel and the late Annie Kanofsky. Former father-in-law of the late Rabbi Martin Penn. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by Adeline’s family. The family would like to thank Letty for her devotion these past months.
