Abe Weitzman

Peacefully, at home in his ninety-eighth year, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 13, 2024. Devoted husband of the late Rhoda Wiener. Adored father and father-in-law of Ellen Weitzman and Henry Coopersmith, Lori Weitzman and Peter Kalichman, Jodi Weitzman and Dean Kathron, Greg Weitzman and Lisa Slawner. Cherished Zaidie of Oliver Besner and Kore Oliver, Rachel Coopersmith and Rob Frontz, Arielle Coopersmith and Spencer Lambrecht; Max Kathron and Nicole Mason, Sasha Kathron; Anna Weitzman and Justin Wainberg, Eric Weitzman; David, Jacob, Sophie and Daniel Kalichman. Brother and brother-in-law of Ethel and the late Henry Weitzman, the late Mary and the late Bernie Caplan; and brother-in-law of Sandi and Myer Kwavnick, the late Danny Wiener, the late Sema (Maidy) Wiener, and the late Gerry Wiener. Abe will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Special thanks to his caregivers Roberto Yaptangco and his team for their exceptional care and devotion.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom Congregation section, Mount Royal Cemetery, 1297 ch. de la Forêt.
