Marian Schauber

It is with profound sadness that the Schauber family announces the passing of Marian Schauber, on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Devoted wife of the late Alan Schauber, much loved mother of Karen, Paul and Holli. Grandmother of Rose, Jari, and Gabriela. Caring sister in-law of the late Miriam White and aunt of Brian White and Barbara Weiss, grand aunt to Rhonda, Deena, and Jennifer and, dear cousin to Aaron and Bernice Dresner. She will be deeply missed by her cherished family and dear friends.

Marian started out as a professional singer and when her family grew, she moved to teaching music, piano, and singing and then to opening the Westmount Early Childhood Music School where she introduced music to hundreds of children. She was the choir director at the Beth El chorale group and the Reconstructionist choir. She was active volunteering in the community.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 chemin de la Foret, Outremont. Shiva will be observed at Place Kensington following the service on Sunday. Monday from 10:00 to 4:00 at Place Kensington, apartment 306.
