Dear Gerry, Mitch and family. I was devastated to hear of the loss of your mom, Auntie Eleanor. When I think of your mother I picture her eating sponge toffee, pulling pieces of it off with red painted fingernails. She and my mom used to laugh so hard I hoped when I grew up I would have a long lasting friendship like theirs. She was one of a kind your mom. (Tho our moms looked like sisters) I'm happy I got to see her the last time I was in town. We had a chat and a hug.I'll miss her. Sending my love and a huge hug across the pond to all of you. Lulu

Dearest Jerry and Mitch, Very very sorry for your loss. To me your mom was and always will be Auntie Eleanor. Hilarious with a biting sense of humor. When she and my mom got together it was non-stop laughter. An incredible woman! She will be missed by all. For me, any time someone mentions Miami or a white baby grand piano, I will think of her.

Dear Jerry and Mitch. Your mom was always « Auntie Eleanor » to me. I have warm memories of family times and birthday parties in St Laurent before you moved to Florida. More recently I would often see her when the other « aunties » got together in Florida or in Westmount Square where we always shared a story or a laugh. My thoughts are with you both. May her memory be a blessing. xoCheryl

Ivy Tolchinsky - 14 days ago

Dear Jerry and Mitch, I was heartbroken when I learned of your mother's passing. She was my "auntie eleanor" and I called her that even as an adult. She loved to play with my Barbie dolls because she didn't have a daughter of her own. Even when you guys moved to Florida, our families remained close. I remember always having plenty of laughs and adventures with your mother when we came to visit. She had great wit and was sharp as a tack. She may be gone but she will surely not be forgotten. Love Ivy
