Ellen & Jon Dennick - 25 days ago

To Eric, Rosana, Maya, Avi & the entire Myers & Caplan Families our heart felt condolences on the loss of your precious mother, grandmother and aunt. I first met Lorraine when I was an assistant teacher at Summit School in 1979. She taught me so much as she was an exemplary teacher with a positive caring attitude and wonderful teaching style. It was Lorraine who advocated for me to get a teaching position at Summit school & who was always there to listen to me & guide me throughout the 20 years I taught there. She continued to encourage me and guide me and was so happy when I accepted a Resource position at SWLSB . Jon & I will never forget the wonderful time we had while staying with Lorraine & Howard at their Condo in Florida. The hospitality and warmth they showed us was genuinely special and will forever be etched in our memories. Lorraine knitted our sons the most gorgeous baby bunting bag and beautiful sweater sets that I still have in my possession today. Lorraine loved coming for a visit to DDO where she would spend time with Jon & I and our family. We had the most wonderful conversations, and I was so fortunate to have had her as my mentor & true friend. I spoke to Lorraine during the summer and I was in awe of the fact that she had a very positive attitude despite her on going medical issues. She was so proud of her children & grandchildren and great nieces & nephews and was so blessed to always have you by her side. Lorraine was a “Beautiful” person both inside and out and had the warmest and kindest heart. She will be greatly missed by both Jon and I and everyone fortunate enough to know her and call her a “friend.” May her memory always be a blessing and may it give you strength and inspiration during this most difficult time.
