I wrote a poem describing my aunt's funeral. As her coffin goes down 6 feet beneath the ground her soul flies out, sinking into our skin. Following us after we leave with a tear flowing down from our eye, connecting us with new memories making us one with one thought. Ruby Celemenski-Green

I wish to offer my sympathies to Sara and Jason and families, to Gerry and Gloria, to her brother Michel and family, and to her cousin Leon, who i know through his daughter and your cousin Jackie (Jacqueline). While i haven't seen Annie since my high school days, when Sara and i were classmates at Herzliah VSL, she left quite the impression on me. I told Annie Krespil, another friend of Sara's from Herzliah, how she felt like a second mom or surrogate mom to us. Like Jason said in his eulogy, Annie was the mom who his friends wanted to hang out with, and the same goes for Sara's friends. She was always accessible, very direct, brutally honest and wickedly funny. I have fond memories of those times in the Raven house on McNulty corner Abbott. I say Abbott, because i lived on Abbott, just on other side of Gardenview Elementary School from where they lived. So, Annie and family were practically next door. As i said, i haven't been in touch with the family in years now, but i always got updates from Gloria Pascal at our yearly meetings (she was my life insurance agent). I had always had in mind to go visit Annie at some point, but i never did. A couple of years ago i saw Leon at a life testimonial/interview day the Federation CJA. He had just come from visiting Annie at Maimonides, and he expressed just how much he cherished his cousin and how deeply he was affected by her suffering. So i leave you all with this: may Annie's zest for life and determination to live on despite and in spite of all her physical and mental challenges and hardships continue to inspire and vivify (enliven) all who knew and loved her in how you live your lives. Et pour toi, Annie... Emmenez-moi au bout de la terre emmenez-moi au pays des merveilles. Il me semble que la misère serait moins pénible au soleil. -Charles Aznavour

Annie was a very special lady and I have fond memories of her that stretch back over 50 years. I stand to be corrected but my impression was that Annie was the least likely of people to ever have the wool pulled over her eyes. I was very sorry to hear about her premature health problems years ago. May the memories of Annie always bring smiles.

Dear Annie, It was quite a life adventure we shared! We became best friends September 1966 - the first day of SGWU. We were in a gigantic hall and we knew no one! We recognized each other from high school, said hello and became best friends that second. The things we shared from secrets to teenburgers, to endless midnight conversations; to parties, boyfriends, weddings, babies and happy and sad times! We were there for each other. How does one summarize lives that are intertwined over so many years! Annie was the kindest, most genuine, caring friend. She was always so knowledgeable and the most intelligent person I knew. I smile when I think of Annie in her red dress and in her hostess uniform at the French pavilion at Expo 67. Annie, I am so sorry your last years were so difficult, but I know you recognized me when I came to visit. I will always treasure the friendship we shared! To the family, I love you all. You were all so dedicated to Annie! Annie was always so proud of you! Love, Gloria (Annie, I hope I fulfilled the promise I made to you decades ago🤞). Rest In Peace!
