My deepest condolences to Murielle and Hymie, Aaron and Sabra, Noah and Marlo. Knowing Liliane was for me a great blessing from God. She was a unique, gracious person. The respect she had for everyone she met was remarquable. I will remember our long conversations and will cherish forever our last walk on the beach. I will keep her memory in my heart always.

Dear Murielle, Hymie and family, my heart goes out to you as I imagine what the passing of your mom means. She has been a constant in my life from a young age when we all were growing up. I admired Liliane for her grace, style and compassion, and when I heard her low chuckle, it was clear she was amused. She loved you all so much and we will all have a big hole in our lives in the place that Liliane’s beautiful energy filled. Take good care of each other. Xox Carol

Dear Hymie, Murielle & Family, Sidney & I were saddened to hear the passing of Liliane. When growing up & living in Bathurst, NB, getting together with our families, laughing, joking & chatting were some of the good times that I could remember. Your parents were kind, warm & friendly people. Whenever I saw your mom she always looked very elegant & she had such a beautiful smile. Hymie, Diane, Murielle along with Liliane’s grandchildren & great grandchildren & all who knew her cherish fond memories of her during this very difficult time. To the Surkis Family: I was so saddened and shocked to read of Liliane's passing as we just spoke on the phone perhaps 10 days ago. As Executive Director of Young Israel of Montreal, I had received a phone message from her and called back as soon as possible. For many years, since the passing of your dear grandfather Solomon, who I knew quite well at Young Israel, I have been sending yahrzeit notices to your Mom on a regular basis and she had called to say she wanted to give a donation in memory of her mother. Since using a credit card required going on line, she said she would probably mail a cheque, and now I see that she has passed. Little did I realize that she was coming to the end of her beautiful life. Certainly she was a devoted daughter, as she rarely missed commemorating the memories of her late parents, even her grandparents. Should you family require the yahrzeit dates or wish to continue being reminded, please do not hesitate to contact me, I would be pleased to give you any information necessary. Sadly I will no longer have contact with this lovely lady, I will remember our conversations and always remember your grandfather, suede jacket and fedora hat, visiting with me at the Young Israel office many years ago. May all your wonderful memories be a comfort at this difficult time. With deepest condolences, Frima Rosen, Executive Director, Young Israel of Montreal
