(née Chelly)

Peacefully, in the comfort of her home, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. A courageous and graceful woman, who bravely battled Parkinson’s disease for many years with unwavering strength and dignity. A rare beauty, both inside and out, she always saw the good in everyone. Yolande sacrificed everything for her children and family. The enduring love she had for them was the source of her incredible resilience. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Morris Herman Z”L and her parents, Pia Z”L and Charles Chelly Z”L. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Patti Falus and Michael Ber, Stacey Herman and Didier Serero, and Melissa Herman. Cherished grandmother of Zachary Falus; Madison and Eric Sherman, Elizabeth, William, and Benjamin Serero; and Liam Benitah. Proud great-grandmother of Ella and Marlee Sherman.  Devoted sister and sister-in-law of Yves and Lucie Chelly, Lucien and Iuliana Chelly, and Leslie Chelly. Loving aunt of Allyson and Michael Chelly, and Natacha Chelly. Yolande will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and the beautiful holiday gatherings she hosted. It was always important for her to keep the family close. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated caregivers, Carmen, Didi and Perla, who gave so much of their time and compassion over the years, as well as to Dr. Joseph Carlton for his professionalism and empathy.
