Susan Mann

It is with impossibly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Ellice Mann (nee Verner). Beloved wife of George, the best mother to Randi, and to David and his wife Cassandra. Cherished sister and sister- in-law of Joan and Leslie Klein, and Hope and Irwin Rajesky. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Stanley Verner, as well as her father-in-law, Harvey Mann. Her mother-in-law Doris always said that Susan was never a daughter-in-law, but a daughter. Similarly, George's siblings Cari, Howie and Julie, considered Susan a sister. She loved her grandson Eli so much and her customs and traditions will continue to shape his life for years to come. Susan also treasured her nieces, nephews and cousins, all of which will miss her greatly. Susan was very respected and proud of her work with children. Through her many years of work, Susan had amazingly positive influences on so many kids and their families.

As Susan's end of life approached, she received truly fantastic care at Sunnybrook Hospital, and we cannot adequately thank the many nurses, doctors and therapists whom always ensured Susan was as happy and comfortable as the situation would allow. Equally, Susan always looked forward to, and loved her visits from the volunteers at Bikur Cholim. We ask that all celebrate her memory, unconditional love, understanding, patience and protection of all in need, and remember Susan for the truly amazing woman she was.
