Ruth Balaban (née Silver)

Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Devoted wife and best friend of the late Ben for sixty-three years. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Aaron and Maria, Marcie, Bill and the late Arlyn. Cherished Bubbie of Kori and Leslie. Great-grandma of Lily, and Braxton. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Pat and the late Lou Silver, the late Helen and the late Jack Silver, the late Lil and the late Marty Feldberg. A wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew and loved  her in Montreal and Toronto. Special thanks to Dr. Friedman and assistant Tara in Oncology, and Dr. Jagoe at the Jewish General Hospital as well as Dr. Tradounsky, Dr. Amarica and the entire staff at Mount Sinaї Hospital, and to Clinique Medic Elle, as well as Dr. Backler and Marsha, for their amazing care and devotion.  Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, October 27 at 12:00 noon Burial at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
