Peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Baycrest Hospital, Palliative Unit, surrounded by his family, after a rich and fulfilling life. He will be sorely missed.
Beloved husband of Minda Davis. Loving father and father-in-law of Daniel Davis and Gwendolin John. Dear brother of Miriam Davis and the late Shirley Yudcovitch, brother- in-law of Merle Kriss. Devoted grandfather of Gabriel and Rafael at whom he liked to growl, much to their delight.
Among his many interests were photography, music, film and literature. He was print chairman of Toronto Camera Club, played the trombone in the Thornhill Community Band, had a remarkable memory of every film he saw and never missed a copy of the New Yorker magazine. He volunteered for many years at the Distress Center. He was a friend and colleague of many he worked with at Revenue Canada.
Our thanks to his doctors and nurses and especially to the staff at Baycrest Hospital Palliative Unit who made him very comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Distress Centres of Greater Toronto https://www.dcogt.com/, Congregation Darchei Noam https://darcheinoam.ca/donate/, or to a charity of your choice.
