Kevin Brooks

May 6, 1981 to January 23, 2025

Our beloved Kevin passed away after a year-long fight with sarcoma. He battled till the last minutes with fierceness, grace and good humour. Kevin leaves behind his beloved mother, Rachel Abugov, his adored wife and soulmate Silvia Toma and his darling son Jacob, the light of his life. Kevin was loved by so many people, including his uncle Ian Abugov (Angela Brignone) who played such an instrumental role in his life, his aunt Rochelle Lieberman (Mark Danowski), his cherished cousins including Stephanie Abugov, Robyn Spector-Blumner and Jay Spector and their families, his in-laws, Aurel and Flori Toma, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Victor and Alice and his niece Teodora, and legions of friends, who were his de facto brothers.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B’nai Jacob Section, Back River Cemetery. Reception following burial at Dunn's Famous Decarie. The remainder of shiva will be strictly private.
