MATIVETSKY, Judy (née Dessureault)

Peacefully, after a short illness, on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in her sixty-sixth year. Beloved wife of Barry Mativetsky for thirty-eight years.  Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Samantha and Darryl Stall. Devoted daughter of Gloria and the late Réal Dessureault. Dear sister-in-law of Howard Mativetsky and Daniel Epstein, Jaden Solomon and Helen Rochow. Judy will be sadly missed by her many cousins, aunts, uncles, and colleagues. For all those that knew her, she left her mark as a reliable and true friend, someone who smiled and laughed easily. She loved her family and made sure they were always well taken care of. Judy was known as a happy and generous soul. She and Barry had a very loving relationship, never a harsh word between them was spoken. Special thanks to the staff of both, Royal Victoria and Lakeshore General Hospitals for their exceptional care and kindness to Judy and her family. Graveside service on Wednesday, May 29 at 12:00 noon at the Montreal Workers’ Circle Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.  Shiva strictly private.
