A Holocaust Survivor

Peacefully, in her ninety third year, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Devoted wife of the late Laszlo for fifty six years.

Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Sandor and Michele Finkelstein, Erika and Patrick Mastey, and the late Annie Finkelstein, and mother-in-law of Lloyd Arshinoff. Cherished “grandma” of Jeremy and Jeffrey Finkelstein; Loving “Mama” of Jennifer and Jason Bibergal; Lorne, and Ashleigh Arshinoff. Doting great “Mama” of Liam, Hannah, Sarah and Ethan Bibergal. She will be fondly remembered by Juliette Mastey. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Queenie and the late Gaby Grosz, the late Vera and the late Frank Meisels of Toronto, the late Marianna and the late Gilbert Gardonyi, and the late Evike Grosz; and sister-in-law of Eva and the late Steve (Pista) Fabian, the late Jeno and the late Eva Finkelstein, the late Ibolya Finkelstein, the late Aranka and the late Erno Horovitz, the late Josef and the late Erszi Fabian Debrecen, Hungary.

Judit will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Special cousin of Tommy and Vera Berger of Toronto, Eva and Charles Sandorfy of New York. Heartfelt thanks to her two caregivers Melanie and Banch who treated Judit with care, respect and compassion and to Chris, Maurizi, Tracy and Mario. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Bianca Jones, Julie-Ann Jastia, Constance and Linh from CLSC Rene-Cassin for their exceptional care. Grateful appreciation to the entire medical staff of the ER, 13th and 15th floors at the Montreal General Hospital who took exceptional care of Judit for the last two months of her life.
