Suddenly, on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Smukler. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jonathan and Donna Frankel, Daniel and Judy Frankel, Peter Frankel and Shanah Fedder; and stepfather of James and Eliza Wainberg, Deborah and Oren Obadia, and the late Michael Wainberg. Dear brother of Hannah Frankel; and brother-in-law of Ann and Joseph Shatoff. Cherished Papa of Amanda, Wendy, Mia, and the late Adam Frankel; Cassandra and Chris Morrow, and Quinn Frankel; Max, and Isaac Frankel; Victoria, and Emily Wainberg; Dalia, Abigail, and Maya Obadia. Proud great-grandfather of Stellan Ezra Morrow. Hershie will be sadly missed by Merle Wolofsky, Deanna Godel, as well as by all who knew and loved him.
