Peacefully, in Toronto, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Lou and the late Roslyn Weinstein. Dear niece of the late Annette and the late Hy Levy; and the late Leatrice and the late Henry Kaplan. Cherished cousin to many. Special relationships to Emet Davis, Ellen (Michael) Millman, the late Cheryl Wissock, the late Heidi Kaplan (Abe) Hefter, and the late Barry Kaplan; Lana (Amanda) and Dylan Cooney, Jacob (Olivia) and Arielle Kaplan, and Carly and Noah Millman. She will be missed by countless friends, relatives, and former colleagues whose lives she touched.

Fransi was a force to be reckoned with. In her professional life, she was known as an icon in the advertising industry—with a successful career that spanned decades. She had a brilliant, creative mind, a passion for words, and the heart to recognize and mentor new talent. She fell in love with advertising at a very young age and worked for some of the most influential agencies in the sector, including Young & Rubicam, Grey, J Walter Thompson, as well as Ogilvy (Creative Director) and BBDO (Senior Vice President). She was honoured with a lifetime achievement award by the Canadian Marketing Association in 2000 and that same year established her own boutique agency, tattoo direct + digital, which operated for nearly 10 years. Fransi worked as a freelance writer and consultant up until very close to her passing.

To her loved ones she was strong, independent, modern, optimistic, inspiring, and compassionate. She had a big, warm smile, and an irresistible roar of a laugh. She will be missed.

Friends and family wish to thank her caregivers Cecilia, Rose, Belle, Elena and Admarie, as well as Dr. Nadler and the staff at Princess Margaret for all of their support during her illness.

Graveside funeral service to be held Tuesday April 8th at 3:00pm, Baron de Hirsch Back River Cemetery Chevra Kadisha New B.R. Celebration of life to follow in Toronto at a later date to be determined.
