Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in his ninety-sixth year. Cherished son of the late Sophie Reuben and the late Eli Bernett. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Ruth and the late Lou Stattner, the late Bert Bernett and the late Corinne Bernett (née Aaron). Father and father-in-law of Gary Bernett and Susan Conner, Richard Bernett and Julia Waks, and Howard Bernett. Proud uncle of Franki and Peter Yanofsky, Jeffrey Stattner and Bonnie Gordon, Sonya Bernett and Brian Gens, Steven Bernett and Kyrani Paproulis. Great-uncle of Andrew and Robyn Yanofsky, and Corinne Bernett. Proud grandfather of Noah, Jacob, Matthew, Blake, Payton and Will Dobbin, Adam and Sheena. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 17 at 12:30 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Community Foundation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
