On Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Baycrest Apotex in Toronto at the age of one hundred years. Wife of the late Alvin B. Jacobs Q.C. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Warren and Harriet, Donna and Steve. Cherished grandmother of Shawn, Kim and Mitch, Jamie and Adam, Tracy and Mike. Proud great-grandmother of Joshua, Jules, Valerie, MJ, Olivia, Lucas, Emerson and Wyatt, and Max. Sister of the late Dick and the late Betty McGuire, the late Evelyn and the late Morris Lobel, the late Gerald and the late Fritzie Rose. Anita will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends, by all who had the privilege of knowing her as well as by her wonderful, loving, caring and devoted caregivers- Tessa, Lisa, Vianca, and Sheeny. Special thanks to Beverley, her PSW and to the staff at Baycrest, who so lovingly cared for her for the past 5 years. Anita loved a joke and was ready to entertain at the drop of a hat. She acted, sang and danced in many shows; she was the author of “My Many Boyfriends” and a collection of her poems called: “It Could be Verse”. She dressed impeccably and had more friends than imaginable. Graveside funeral service on Sunday, October 13 at 11:00 am at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 chemin de la Foret, Outremont.
