Jozef Grunstein

With his family by his side, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in his one hundred and third year. Beloved husband of Rose (Rifka) for seventy-six years. Loving and respected father and father-in-law of Leo and Bonnie, Rohna and the late Harry. Cherished Zaidy of Erin and Alex Halpern, Alyssa and Yair Meyers, Zac and Erica Grunstein. Proud great-grandfather of Charlee, Emma, Solomon, Jack, Jacob, Ami, Yoni, Harry, and Haley. Predeceased by his brother Harry z”l (the late Esther), and by his ten siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Special thanks to the exceptional staff at Maimonides Geriatric Centre, Dr. Edy Henich, doctors, nurses and staff of the Emergency Department at the Jewish General Hospital, as well as to Jozef’s wonderful caregivers, Mercy, Faith, Marietta, and Rowena. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the King George Cemetery, 5015 rue de la Savane. Shiva at his son’s home.
