Isidore had that rare quality of making every room he walked into more joyful, every greeting more loving, and every interaction with him so satisfying. Every meeting with him left me feeling better. He defined the definition of what a good person is, and he lived his life like a true mensch through his actions and deeds. He always made whoever he was speaking to feel so important. To the entire Zaichick and Laredo family, what a beautiful send off today for such a kind, generous and sweet soul. Uncle Isidore was truly one of a kind. We will always remember and treasure his smile and twinkling eyes. He would always call to check up on us, just to see how everyone was doing. His love for his family knew no bounds and he was always so very proud of his kids and grandchildren. Gigi and Uncle Isidore shared a special fairy tale kind of love story, that could only be admired, and something to aspire to. We know that you were so brave and fought this horrific battle with such grace and valiant effort. Now you can be at peace, and we pray that you are once again reunited with your precious parents, sister Sarah and brother Gerry. They say the most important gift you can leave is your legacy, Uncle Isidore, you did just that through your gentleness, time spent, generosity of spirit, and love that you effortlessly showered on everyone who crossed your path. The last time I saw Uncle Isidore was a chance meeting at the mall right before he moved back to Montreal. His face entirely lit up when he saw me, and at that moment you felt so special and loved as he took the time to inquire about everyone, and everything that had been going on in our lives. He truly had that gift, to really get to the heart of someone and make you feel so important and loved. Quite simply, to know Isidore Zaichick was to love him. We will all love and miss you forever!

With the deepest of sadden heart, I want to extend my condolences to Isidore Zaichick and his immediate family. Several family members contacted me about this loss today, I transcended in past family trips to Edmonton as a kid with my parents. The Edmontons clan of the Zaichick had such a family bond and humor, with poker nights. It brings tears to my eyes of the family love at multiple gatherings.
