Dear Mark, Allen, and the Scheer family My most sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of Lenny. Having grown up on the same street and regularly coming over to your home, to me Lenny was your ‘BIG’ brother (older and more mature). While the friends of his younger brothers were likely just ‘small kids’ to him, I always recall him smiling/with a friendly hello whenever we came to your house. I was so saddened to learn of Lenny’s passing. My heart goes out to the entire Scheer and extended family. May the wonderful memories you have of Lenny help to sustain you in your time of sorrow and hopefully bring you some small measure of comfort. Most sincerely, Humphrey Kadaner

Moshe Chertoff (Israel) - 30 days ago

Hard to believe! I'm reminded of so, so much with Lev. We had far too little time together on this planet. What a mensch! A real DUDE. Who could ask for a better buddy? My main man in Canada. I'll never forget walking the streets of Montreal all through the night and till after sunrise. He opened my life to so much! One of the only people in my world who travelled from a distant continent and not only come and visit me; but drove up to the Golan Heights to be a couple of hours with me in my Miluim (reserve duty). This was long before cellular days! He just showed up at my mountaintop outpost (who knows how), and because I couldn't let him in (top secret, you know), we just sat on the basalt boulders and schmoozed for a couple of hours of catching up. And smiled! He always smiled, and often even externally. Dear family, I join you in your sorrow and would like to hear more about Lev's life and family. Please contact me sometime.
