Dear Charad, Stoffmaker, Goldstein & Gurman families I heard the terrible news about Lorraine Monday night & awoke Tuesday morning to the devastating news, "Lorraine died. I am in a state of shock & my brain is flooded with memories dating back to 1965, the year I became a Shaffer & Lorraine a Charad. What an exciting time it was. We both became mothers in 1965 & had fun walking our babies . I adored my Stoffmaker cousins and celebrated many holidays & happy times together. Lorraine always had a special place in my heart. Although I was older, we became good friends who understood each other and I loved her. She was warm, generous of spirit, hospitable, kind, funny & a pleasure to be with. Over the span of a lifetime, there were long periods when we didn't see each other, but whenever we did, we just picked up where we left off. I cannot imagine the depth of your grief and I am sending my most heartfelt, deepest sympathies & hugs.
