Dear Harry, Your loss is our loss too. Vivien like Shirley were sisters to Esther and me. We are the last of the Gindin lineage. Our mother Sonia and their father Max came to Canada from Russia together. I cherish the memory of my trip to Montreal one Christmas vacation. i arrived after a huge snowstorm without boots when Vivien and Aunt Mae met me upon arrival. Vivien, Aunt Mae and I slept in one bed, like three sisters. Vivien’s choice of a career in social work was a perfect venue for her to fulfill her desire to make this a better world in which people could heal and find happiness and peace. We were sisters not just cousins.
