Dear Harley and entire Oberfeld family, please accept my sincere condolences. Ted has been like a second father to me over the years. In my professional career, he has always given me the necessary support and best advice so that I can improve and grow in our industry. Since my first meeting with him when I was with Les Boutiques San Francisco and Les Ailes de la Mode in the 1990s, Ted has always advised me on the qualities I should develop to be a good real estate leasing person. His first lesson was to tell me that what is most important is the “relationship” you develop with the person you are negotiating with. Ted told me: "Always remember that when you have the right seat don't overdo it because one day you will be sitting across from the same person asking for a favor and their answer will depend on how you acted and how respectful you were the time before..." I can tell you that these tips, I have applied them every day since. Today, I can boast that over the years I have had an excellent reputation and developed respect and mutual credibility with the majority of people in the industry with whom I have had to work and those with whom I continue to work with. This is certainly due to the excellent advice that Ted passed on to me. Thank you Ted and rest in peace!

My dear friend Felice (Fe), My heart is broken with the news of your dads sudden passing. You are my oldest friend and growing up, your parents were like my second family. If we were hanging out in your home in DDO or taking me on your family trips your dad always treated me like his second daughter. Even in later years, whenever I saw Teddy at one of your parties he always had a big hug for me with his warm smile and was always interested in what I was up to...(and if I was staying out of trouble). Reading his obituary flooded all the wonderful memories I have of him (and your mom). What a beautiful tribute to the wonderful man he was. My heartfelt condolences go out to you, Harley & your entire family. May all the fond memories you share with him ease your sadness. Sending you my love...

Dear Harley, Felice and the entire Family. We were shocked to hear of the passing of your beloved father Ted while he was vacationing in the Bahamas with his close and loving friend Hahn. Ted was well respected by everyone and always very positive about everything, His warm smile and twinkle in his eyes were ever present and it was always great to be with him and a pleasure to wine and dine together. Ted will certainly be missed very much by all who knew him and may both of you and all your families always remember the cherished memories and good times you shared together. May he rest in eternal peace. Allan and Sylvie.

Dear Harley, Susan, Felice, Milko, Kyle and all the family, Our deepest and most sincere condolences to your family. Reading this obituary brought me back to the time when retail was booming and expanding across Canada, with malls being built in every corner of the country and Oberfeld Snowcap was at the forefront of it all! True pioneers of the business landscape of the country. On a more personal note, we wish you strength and after the pain recedes, many happy and fond memories of your father and grandfather. BDH

Dear Felice & Harley This obituary is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read. It truly captures the essence of the amazing Man your Father was. It’s no coincidence that our Fathers teamed up. Both larger than life, both with mad passion for their families and both with crazy love & ambition for all that was important to them and their loved ones. The blessing of having a Father like yours will give you so much comfort in the years ahead as you recant and hold dear all your profound memories. Wishing you and your partners and your children much love and strength in the difficult days ahead. Teddy was the best. Honestly a man of class, charisma, character and strength. He will be missed by all of us. Sending our love Cheryl & Barry

My condolences to the Oberfeld family. Ted was a real icon of a generation gone by - they no longer make them like they used to. Ted was a true gentleman and had a way with words like nobody else. I truly loved having dinners or lunches with Ted and his best pal/client Ernie - the two together were a real rat pack. I will miss him very much - the retail industry will not be the same without Ted. May his memory be a blessing.
