Peacefully, surrounded by her entire family, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Devoted daughter of Rachel “Ema” Elhadad and Albert Papi Elhadad (z”l) and beloved sister and sister in law to Francine and Claude Lanctot, Marcelle and Steve Goldenberg, David and Candise Elhadad, Toby and Emile Haim Benlolo (z”l), and the late Michael Elhadad (z”l). Energizing and energetic, loving and caring super aunt to Janice, Erin, Rachel, Gaby, Ben, Adam, Samantha, Josh, Jacob, Alex and Michael. Adoring “best friend” and aunt-in-law to Yalexy, Joel, Benny, Dan, Rina, Katherine, Liroy, Joelle and Ora. Generous and devoted great-aunt to Kevin, Isaac, Evan, Ezra, James, Noah, Max, Pacey, Ava, and Tal.

Sandy was a beam of light, love and light-heartedness in a serious world, filling every room with happiness and always showing an interest in her family’s lives. Effortlessly recalling her loved one’s birthdays, anniversaries and special celebrations, she made sure to get gifts and write beautiful cards for each of them, without fail. She lived a rich life and touched every person she interacted with, thanks to her big, pure and innocent smile.

Her JEM family will remember her 25 years of dedicated service and workmanship, as well as countless birthday parties and memories on the workshop floor.

Heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Jewish General Hospital, in her last few days, as well as to Dr. Henry Coopersmith who provided regular care both steadfastly and empathetically over the decades.

Donations in her memory may be made to Jem Workshop, (514) 735-4217 ext. 301 or click here.
