Peacefully, on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Beloved husband and best friend of Sheila for fifty-eight years. Loving father and father-in-law of Jodi Lackman and Murray Mincoff, Felice Lackman and Sheldon Caplin. Adored and adoring Zaidie of Jeremy, Jared, Bram, and Alex Lackman-Mincoff; Nathan, Maddy, Kylie, and Cooper Lackman-Caplin. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Barry and Gita Lackman. Dear son of the late James and the late Freda Lackman. Dear friend and son-in-law of Ellen Steinhart and the late Gerald Steinhart. Phillip will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to the extraordinary staff of the Jewish General and Mount Sinai Hospitals, and the CLSC René-Cassin for their care, kindness and devotion. Phillip was larger than life in his pharmacy, on the square dance floor, on cruise ships, and especially with the family he adored. A brilliant light has gone out.
