Shiva will be Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Due to the advent of Yom Kippur, Shiva ends Friday morning.

Peacefully on Rosh Hashanah, Friday, October 4, 2024, after recently celebrating his eighty-first birthday. Beloved husband of Carole Rubenstein Klein for thirty-six years. Cherished father of Sabine, Stephen, and Miriam. Loving Zaida of Hannah, Joseph & Rachel. Proud great-grandfather of Zev, and Milo. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tina & Dr. Robert Shapiro. Special uncle of Joanne, Sandra, and the late Mark. 

Michael was a brilliant man, renowned academic with doctorate degrees in philosophy and psychology, celebrated author, accomplished musician, very athletic, expert bridge player, and a wonderful storyteller. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ronald Schondorf for his outstanding care, compassion, and guidance through Michael’s illness. The family sincerely thanks the 2nd-floor staff of Maimonides for their loving care and devotion to Michael. We thank the NDG CLSC, especially Idowu, who formed a special bond with Michael.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. On Monday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva will be held in the atrium of 6980 Côte-Ste-Luc Rd.
