Suddenly, surrounded by her loving family on Friday erev Shabbat, November 8th, 2024, at the age of seventy-four. Wife and best friend of Marvin for fifty-three years. Loving and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Brahm, Sean and Heather, Jonathan (J.B.) and Michelle, Heidi and Matthew. Devoted and adoring “Bubbie Lynnie” of Jayme, and Ryan Oppen; Ethan, Evan, and Gabriel Oppen; Jayden, and Jake Oppen; Charlotte, Savannah, and Victoria Gorelik. Devoted daughter of the late Mary and the late Harry Novolker. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Nina and Allan Miller and the late Ronnie (Ronald) Novolker; Sharon and Max Salzberg; and Beverly Oppen and Paul Horner.
Lynnie will be forever missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and by her lifelong close friends. Special thanks to her caregiver Joy Caboto, as well as to Dr. Mark Lipman for his decades of exceptional care, Dr. Julio Faria for his amazing support this past year, Dr. Manish Khanna for his ongoing special care, the doctors and nurses at the Jewish General Hospital Interventional Radiology Department and to the entire nursing team at the JGH Medical Day Department, who she saw weekly and treated her with such compassion and care.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
