Lily Schwartz (née Apple)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lily Apple Schwartz on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the age of ninety-seven. Beloved wife of the late Robert Schwartz.  Devoted mother to Michael Schwartz (Viviane), Maureen Staviss (Harland), and Jeffrey Schwartz (Adina).  Proud Bubbe to her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Cherished sister of Phyllis Tessler (Teddy) and Minnie Granofsky (David).  Special thanks to her granddaughters and their spouses, Robyn Schwartz and Marty Martinez, Dayna Schwartz and Michael Rishikof. Many thanks to Drs. Mel and Shirley Schwartz. Lily was a true ray of sunshine and lived life to the fullest. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Graveside service on Friday, November 29 at 12:30 p.m. at the King Edward Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Donations in her memory may be made to the “Lily Apple Schwartz Memorial Fund” c/o Camp B’nai Brith of Montreal.
