Jamil (Jimmy) Nabi

Peacefully, in his one hundred and first year, on Sunday April 13th, 2025.

Dear husband of Ruth. Loving father of Carol and Robert and father-in-law of Kevin and Hakima. Proud and devoted grandfather of Danielle and Aiden, Justin, David; Nessim and Zachary. Dear brother of Helene, the late Saul, the late Naji, the late Rachel, the late Louise, the late Moshe, the late Selim and the late Doris and brother-in-law of Gladys, Denise, the late Nessim, the late Lily, the late Queenie.

Jimmy was a highly respected structural engineer, practicing for many years, and responsible for constructing many buildings in Montreal and elsewhere in Canada. Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Jerrold Rappaport, and to Cecile, Janice, Mildred and Nellie for their care and devotion.

As per Jimmy’s wishes, a private funeral took place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Burial at the Spanish and Portuguese Congregation Cemetery. Due to the holiday of Passover, there will not be a formal shiva.
