Evelyn Darwish

(née Saleh)

Evelyn Saleh Darwish born on September 22, 1926. Died peacefully on Friday, February 28th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Fuad Darwish. Daughter of the late Albert Hougui Saleh and the late Rosa Iny. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Janice, and Mel. Cherished grandmother of Heather and Syl; Jason and Kelsey. Proud great-grandmother of Chase, Ava, and Zoë. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Rose and the late Edward Saleh, Angele and the late Maurice Saleh, Richard Saleh, Raymonde Saleh Ani and the late Henry Ani, Emile Saleh, the late Amy and the late Edward Iny, and George and Yvonne Saleh.

Evelyn loved her family dearly. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and by all who knew and loved her. She will never, ever, be forgotten.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital and the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for their care and compassion. 

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on March 2 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation Cemetery, 1250 ch. De la Forêt.
