Arleen Firestone

Peacefully in her eighty-seventh year, after a brief illness surrounded by family and friends, on Monday, April 14, 2025. Beloved wife of Lawrence Firestone, for sixty-five years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Darren and Sue, Dana and Elliot, Leslie, Wayne and Joy. Proud and cherished grandma of Zachary, Matt and Raquel, Josh and Sara, Kyra; Jessi and Blake, Andie and Jason, and Camryn. Loving great grandma of Lehava, Arbel, and Zohar. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Marlene and Eddy Bloom, and Barbara and the late Harvey Rothpan. Arleen will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to Sheila and Larry Sckolnick for many years of great friendship. Special thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital for their utmost care.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W., on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.  Due to the holiday of Passover, there will not be a formal shiva.  The family will be receiving visitors in the reception room at 6803 Abraham de Sola, Cote Saint-Luc, QC, H3X 4B3, on the following dates and times: Wednesday, following burial until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation (514) 369-2222 ext. 31299 or click here.
