Ahouva Toledano (née Bendavid)

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Ahouva Bendavid Toledano announces the peaceful passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, and friend on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of eighty-two. Ahouva was born in Casablanca Morocco, grew up on the kibbutz in Israel, lived many happy years in Paris and Johannesburg and then made Montreal her home. She loved Judaism and thanked HaShem for her three children, Dorith, Nir and Nathalie, their spouses Joel, Mickala and Jordan, and her six grandchildren, Jeremie, Sarah (Ariel), Gabriel, Eliya, Alexia and David.

Ahouva laughed easily and often. A woman who always spoke her mind and was never afraid to stand up for her own truth. Her selflessness and devotion to her family were unparalleled.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Protective Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
