Wertheimer Family - 17 days ago

Dear Pearl and the Woloshen family my sincere condolences. I will always remember Jacob smiling and caring for his family. Particularly his closed relationships with Pearl. He never missed her birthday to remind her on how he and Anne were looking forward to welcoming the new baby in the family when she was born. I remember the good times we had with him and Kimberley when we went to see a show at PDA. I hope that all the many and special memories will warm your heart at this difficult time.

Joe Berthiaume - 17 days ago

Dear Kim, Carole and Bobby, you have shown such courage these last years fighting with Jake a cruel and unusual disease. I hope all can find peace. Jake was my MRTC summer father for more than 30 years. His sense of humor was original, razor sharp and sadly extinct. I keep some of his famous tennis court expressions alive ("Donne du rum à ton homme", "Anybody's game", "Caramba", "Opa", "L'arrêt-court, le short stop"). He wore long sleeve (and old!) sweaters on the court in 30 degree weather and was mostly always late for diner on Vendome - leading to always funny exchanges with Carole on the MRTC phone. Jake was also famous for performing a bris on my 30th birthday. That day was also the only time Jake went swimming in the MRTC pool. Jake was a monument of a man and he gave me joy, acceptance and love for most of my life. He will stay in my thoughts and dreams forever. Rest in peace old friend.

I met Jacob several times while visiting Kimberlee, and he and his wife welcomed me into their home. I loved his sense of humour and we spoke about our common love of birds and joked about the infrequent sighting of a purple finch. I really admired the special father-daughter bond Kimberlee and Jacob shared. My deepest condolences to Kimberlee and her family for their loss.
