Dear Eleanor, Lorri and Warren, You guys may not remember me from down Blossom at Guelph, but I remember Al from years of swimming together at the Davis Y. I loved your dad. What a fantastic awesome guy. 25 years older than me and he’d still kick my butt in the water. A really capable athlete and a great guy to talk to after a workout. Warren, Even though I never met your Dad…. I knew he was a wonderful man because you’ve always told me about him. The pictures of the two of you together at different restaurants & events showed us all how much you loved spending time with him. You will always miss him but time does somewhat ease the pain. My beloved Uncle Allan was one of a kind. As kids we loved spending time with him as he was always so much fund, and we couldn't wait for his Donald Duck impressions. Abee also remembers how he used to make her laugh. Uncle Allan and Auntie Elinor were like a prince and princess for me, so beautiful, kind and loving like characters in the fairy tales I loved so much as a child. He always made sure to say something to make one feel treasured and special. The suffering in his last years was truly heartbreaking and not something a kind and caring man deserved. May he be at peace and surrounded by love for all eternity.
