Dear Phyllis, Ellen, Andy and Diana and families, Manny was so special--he had a warm smile and a generous heart. We loved our camping days with him and all of you, and my parents were fortunate to have the time with him and you, Phyllis, in Peterborough , too. I told him I loved his homemade jam, so he made me some! He was even sweeter than the jam. Love, Shari and Rob and family

To all of you my heartfelt condolences. From my days as a hyper rug rat, I had the honour of tormenting Manny and perhaps many of you as well (especially Andy). We were blessed that he was able to share his passion with David who found a way to finally let go and share it with his family. There were many ups and downs there were many adventures on foreign shores in foreign lands. My future was shaped by Starcraft and Shasta and all that came with it. Memories that will last forever. He will be greatly missed.

Manny was a truly lovely person with a very generous heart and spirit. We are so grateful to him for all of the laughs and experiences we shared as friends at the cottage and we’ll always have a little piece of him with us when eating an apple or pruning a fruit tree! He lived an amazing life (that we all were lucky to be a part of) and we’re so happy that we had the time with him to hear even a small portion of the adventures he went on. What a life! Such a loving soul, he will be so missed (but always remembered with great fondness). Sending love to Phyllis, his children and grandchildren as well as all of his extended family and friends.

He was a constant joyful presence in our family, almost as long as we can remember, exuding warmth and love not only for his immediate family but also for the extended family of overlapping generations of nieces and nephews and cousins and spouses and their children. He was someone who clearly loved his life and was generous in sharing all the activities and enthusiasms that gave him pleasure. It was life well lived and we regret very much that we cannot share more of it with him. Our heartfelt condolences to all. David and Naomi
