I always enjoyed my conersations with her as she was well aware of municipal politics. She definitely was a hard workerat whatever cause she took on (for cats, Magen David Adom. etc.). Dear David, Harvey and Dylan, We were so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. We loved her very much . We attended the funeral by zoom and felt that all that was said was so truly her. She was really a blessing for all of us and for all who she touched. And every time I see an ambulance from the Canadian Friends of Magen David Adom going up my street I am reminded of her dedication and devotion to all those in need and to all the Jewish people. May you gain strength from her truly blessed memory. With much love from Brenda, Elliott, Adina and Maier Jerusalem

Dear Lang family, Our deepest sympathies over the loss of Miriam. Miriam and Bernie were close friends of my parents (and you may recall bought our home on Emerson when my folks moved to Toronto for a few years). When Bernie (my dad Sy and Bernie were good friends too) passed, my mom, Edith, insisted that Miriam look into moving into her building on Cavendish. I had the pleasure of spending 2020 in Montreal during the COVid crisis before returning to LA. I had the pleasure of taking the ladies quite often to the hair dresser and shopping for groceries. The two of them were a pair. Miriam and Edith spoke almost daily, and in fact were in the JGH together recently only a few rooms apart but due to CoVid they were unable to see each but they still talked on the phone. My mom spoke to her at the hospital a few days ago however they had to cut the conversation short since they were performing some tests on Miriam according to my mom. When my mom called back a few hours later, they was no answer. We were all deeply touched by her and her generosity. I know she will be missed sorely especially by you Dylan (unfortunately we never met) but Brian always kept me in the loop about what was going on. Those last links to the old Beth Zion are fading. I feel heart broken. My mom lost a dear and close friend. You lost a beloved family member. May the light shine for her always! Sincerely, on behalf of Edith, myself and Brian and with great sadness.

My sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Miriam. I first met her in 1984 when she was Director of the Laval branch of the YM-YWHA and I was secretary to the Executive Director. Miriam may have been short in stature but she was a fierce advocate for all things relating to the Y. I re-connected with Miriam in 2010 when I accepted a position at CMDA. Although many years had intervened, Miriam was still a force to be reckoned with. As a past president and member of the board, Miriam had very strong ideas and did not hesitate to let her views be known. I had great respect for her and I will miss her and our many conversations. I am glad that I did get to speak with her this past Friday. Miriam, you are now with Bernie and may you rest in peace. To the family, especially to Dylan, cherish your memories. You definitely were "the light of her life" and I know you brought her much happiness. Sincerely, Susan Puritz
